RUSSELL CATHER LEVI FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY

The fine art photographs seen are representative of Levi's Florida collections, and his Chesapeake, Classic Sail, and International collections amongst others.

Aside from Levi's personal artworks already hanging in a museum, airport, municipal center, courthouse, boardroom or residences of private collectors, these (and many other) examples of his fine art photographs can also be seen, and are available for purchase. In addition, a limited number of Levi's "WIPHO" one-offs, paintings in oil on canvas, drawings, aquatint/etchings, serigraphs, lithographs (and other printmakings) can also be seen and purchased.

FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY AREA AND BEYOND

The RUSSELL CATHER LEVI GALLERY and production studios opened in historic downtown Annapolis, following his inaugural public exhibition in Annapolis of 120 pieces at Quiet Waters Gallery, in 2005.

The gallery featured Levi's original "old school" fine art photographs printed from silver nitrite film negatives and (all of which) were matted & framed in the studio, as well as his paintings, drawings, etchings & aquatints, lithos and serigraphs.

Both the gallery and studios became informal gathering places, where emerging artists could visit to exchange critique in weekly meeting & mentoring sessions. The studio helped support many emerging artists in the area, and the gallery also sponsored & produced numerous exhibitions of their work.

Classic wooden sailing vessels, the Chesapeake sail racing community, the watermen and rural farm life on the Eastern Shore, in Southern MD and throughout the Chesapeake, and the heritage of historic Annapolis & Baltimore are frequent subjects in Levi's original Chesapeake Collections from the gallery in Annapolis. Although the gallery closed several years ago, many works from those ltd editions can still be viewed online.
